Ventura County Supervisor Kelly Long was the featured speaker at a recent Fillmore Rotary meeting, where she discussed her efforts to address a wide range of issues affecting communities throughout Ventura County.
Long serves on numerous boards, commissions and agencies that oversee important county services and programs. Her areas of focus include agricultural water issues, housing and homelessness, mental health services, and Santa Paula Hospital. She also works on emergency preparedness efforts to help communities respond to floods and fires.
Other initiatives include the Valley Express bus service, which helps residents get around the region, and tattoo removal clinics that can help individuals overcome barriers to employment.
During her presentation, Long highlighted the variety of issues her office addresses and the many programs aimed at meeting the needs of county residents.
