Last week’s Fillmore Rotary Club speaker was Mario Rodriguez. He grew up in Fillmore and graduated FHS in 2006. When growing up he didn’t have good support at home and became a troublemaker and not heading down a good road. Other friends and adults guided him through those years and turned his life around. He is now working on the Ventura County Fatherhood Summit. It provides fathers and father figures an opportunity to explore the joys and challenges of fatherhood, connecting with other dads and accessing resources.
