On May 19, Ventura County Supervisor Kathy Long addressed Piru residents on fire department disaster preparedness plans and resources. She was joined by Donna Plummer from Redevelopment, and an update on the skate park and planned playground was presented. Long later briefly spoke of moving forward within the community following recent Charter School efforts.
