Local Author to Discuss Book at Fillmore Library
A former fighter pilot, who is a Fillmore native and a former Student Body President of Fillmore High School Russ Goodenough, will discuss the secret air wars fought in Southeast Asia at the time of the Vietnam War. He will also detail the reasons why we lost the air wars and subsequently, the Vietnam War itself. The Power Point presentation, which explains his book “Why Johnny Came Marching Home” will be a part of the Fillmore Library Memorial Day commemoration. The talk is scheduled for Saturday, May 26th and will start at 1 pm. It will last approximately 45 minutes and will be followed by a question and answer period, plus a book signing and selling by the author. Fillmore Library is located at 502 Second Street.
