Fillmore Rotary Club Donates $500 to Fillmore High’s Mock Trial Team
On Monday, February 14th, Steven Geddes, Faculty Advisor for the Mock Trial team, and Advisor Laura Bartels presented a program to Fillmore Rotary. They informed the Club about the months of preparation and dedication of the FHS Mock Trial team and how they were given the information for the trial but had to decide who should play the parts and how they would proceed. Henry Hurd was the only student who attended the meeting and gave the student perspective. It was then announced that Hurd had been voted Most Valuable Player, a happy surprise! The Rotary Club of Fillmore presented the Mock Trial team with a check for $500. Pictured (l-r) President Andy Klittich, Laura Bartels, Henry Hurd, and Steven Geddes.
