DUI/driver’s license checkpoint

On December 17, 2010, from 7:00p.m. to 2:00 a.m., the Fillmore Station hosted a DUI/driver’s license checkpoint, as part of the Avoid the 14 grant. During the check point 897 vehicles were screened for violators. 7 subjects were examined for driving under the influence, but not found to have their ability to operate a motor vehicle impaired. There were 10 people cited for driver’s license infractions (5 unlicensed, 3 suspended and 2 not in possession of a license). 8 Vehicles were impounded during the checkpoint.
