That year, the Flashes brought home the bacon by winning the Championship under the leadership of Coach Eugene Kennedy. Only one out of seven games was lost all season, and that was to the powerful Santa Barbara Dons. Fillmore played Santa Paula twice that year and beat them both times. The first time the Flashes won 27-6; The second time they met the Flashes won, 14-0.
