Make no mistake about it: President Obama, Senator Reid, and Speaker Pelosi are pushing ahead with their government takeover of health care - this time, with a "new and improved" health care bill!

However President Obama's new health care proposal still contains the greatest expansion of abortion since Roe v. Wade -- and your tax dollars will still be paying for it.

We need your help right now, as the pro-abortion lobby has tightened its stranglehold on Congress and the White House. According to official White House visitor logs, President Obama has allowed Planned Parenthood unfettered access to his Administration. Planned Parenthood President, Cecile Richards, has privately met with President Obama's staff to discuss health care reform on several occasions (with her first visit coming only days after his inauguration!). This open door policy demonstrates the imminent danger of taxpayer-funded abortions - unless we take immediate action.

Will you stand with us by making an urgently-needed contribution of $50, $100, $250, or more? Americans United for Life stands in strong opposition to any bill that uses taxpayer dollars for abortion.

Speaker Pelosi, Senator Reid, and President Obama are determined to reward their friends at Planned Parenthood with your tax dollars. In Pelosi's own words, she will do anything and everything to pass health care reform: "If the gate is closed we will go over the fence. If the fence is too high, we will pole vault in. If that doesn't work, we will parachute in. But we are going to get health care reform passed."

We cannot let these radical, pro-abortion forces win. But we cannot fight back without significant financial support from partners like you. Will you help us ramp up our fight against taxpayer funded abortion with your tax-deductible contribution of $50, $100, $250 or more to Americans United for Life? I'm counting on your urgent contribution.

Yours for Life,
Charmaine Yoest, Ph.D.
President & CEO
Americans United for Life

When the screen fills up with words, then the words tumble to the bottom and new words start up again at the top of the screen. Very nice!

Christianity Today online says that vampires are hot stuff right now even for Christians. Visit a Christian bookstore or publishing house Web site and you might be surprised how many vampire-themed books you will see. What's wrong with the picture? Legions of people will tell you that nothing is wrong. They are, in fact, trying to sanctify vampirism.

Stephanie Meyer's popular Twilight series is cashing in to be sure. Her four books which have sold over 17 million copies, and two movies thus far, are setting new records. To those of us who object, they will tell you that the theme of vampirism is just folklore. They aren't in the Bible. Relax.

But Web sites indicate some are obsessed, CONTINUED »

In Turkey just recently, a father and grandfather repeatedly beat Medine Memi, a sixteen-year-old girl, for the crime of talking (allegedly) to boys. The police weren’t interested. The beatings were eventually deemed insufficient punishment for Medine for the temerity of having her own human agency, so the father and grandfather killed her by burying her while she was “alive and fully conscious.”

Please read the following story and follow the instructions at the end! Thank You.

Like most elementary schools, it was typical to have a parade of students in and out of the health clinic throughout the day. We dispensed ice for bumps and bruises, Band-Aids for cuts, and liberal doses of sympathy and hugs. As principal, my office was right next door to the clinic, so I often dropped in to lend a hand and help out with the hugs. I knew that for some kids, mine might be the only one they got all day.

One morning I was putting a Band-Aid on a little girl's scraped knee. Her blonde hair was matted, and I noticed that she was shivering in her thin little sleeveless blouse. I found her a warm sweatshirt and helped her pull it on. "Thanks for taking care of me," she whispered as she climbed into my lap and snuggled up against me.

It wasn't long after that when CONTINUED »

56% of all Americans and 58% of those 18-29 years old say abortion ‘morally wrong’

On the eve of the 37th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s decision in Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion throughout the United States, a new survey shows a strong majority of Americans believe abortion to be “morally wrong."

“Millennials” (those 18-29) consider abortion to be “morally wrong” even more (58%) than Baby Boomers (those 45-64) (51%). Generation X (those 30-44) are similar to Millennials (60% see abortion as “morally wrong”). More than 6 in 10 of the Greatest Generation (those 65+) feel the same.
