Community Thanksgiving Service

The Community Thanksgiving Service by the Fillmore Ministerial Association was a rousing success again this year. The event was on Thanksgiving eve at the First United Methodist Church in Fillmore. The opening greeting and blessing were given by Rev. Bob Hammond of St. Stephens Anglican Church (which meets at the Methodist Church Sunday mornings). Songs and praise were led by Rev. Jamie Brooks and his daughter Beth from the Foursquare Church who did a wonderous job. There was a special presentation by the AGAPE MIME. These are young children and adults from throughout Ventura County. They are very special and the presentation was moving.

The message of Thanksgiving was given by Rev. Kent Fromer of the Bardsdale United Methodist Church.

After the closing prayer and blessing by Rev. Bob Hammond the congregation of about 150 people were invited over to the parish hall for refreshments provided by the wonderful ladies of the Fillmore United Methodist Church.
