Blackwood Legacy Quartet in Concert

The Blackwood Legacy Quartet, direct from Nashville, will be presenting aspecial concert event in our community in January. Boasting an unbroken lineage to the Dove and Grammy-award winningBlackwood Brothers, the Mansion Recordsartistslink the best of Southern Gospel’s traditional sound with today’s newer Country gospel and worship music.The Blackwood LegacyQuartet will be in concert onSunday, February 9, 11 am, atthe First Baptist Church in Fillmore.Admissionis free and an offeringwill be received.

TheBlackwood Legacy Quartet has an all-star line-up. Lead singerDaniel Childsis the great grandson to Blackwood Brothers founding father, Roy Blackwood. Spokane native Luke Yatessings baritone with the group, and is also an award-winning pianist. Tenorsinger Paul Secord, formerly a featured singer for Disney World,is one of the most talented in Gospel Music today.Group owner and bass singer, Rick Price, was originally a protégée of the late Cecil Blackwood. He began his 35-year career singing with the Blackwood Brothers in 1977, and was eventually inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame with the legendary group.Performing since 2001, The Blackwood Legacy Quartet was signed to Mansion Records in 2010, and continues the grand tradition of gospel music, performing nearly 250 dates annually nationwide.
