It is with great sadness that we are announcing the sudden passing of Brenda S. Cone, our loving wife, mother and grandmother. She went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday December 11th, 2008.
She was born May 1, 1956 to James and Wanda Cummings. She was the oldest of eight siblings. She was a Fillmore High graduate. Brenda had various occupations including being a caregiver. She enjoyed helping and taking care of others.
Brenda’s passion in life was taking care of her grandchildren. “Nana”-will always hold the biggest place in their hearts! Everyday of her life was spent with the,. She loved her family and always put them first. She worked very hard to make life good for them. She was a kind, loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
Brenda is survived by her husband Gary Cone of 34 years, her daughter Keri and Husband Richard Oropeza, daughter Kelly Cone, and four grandchildren: Alyx and Avian Oropeza, Elizabeth and Jaeli Ruiz, also her three sisters Judy Bass of Las Vegas, Nevada, Eva Watson and Audry Gonzales of Oklahoma.
She will be greatly missed by her family, and our world will never be the same without her. A memorial service was held Tuesday December 16, 2008 at First Baptist Church 1057 First St. Fillmore CA. 93015 Reception following the memorial service.
