 Steve Conaway Name: Steve Conaway Filing Statement: Our City has met great challenges over the last four years, more will come. Funding Public Safety is priority one. Today we're investing in Fillmore's future. The city has begun construction of the Community Pool and Tennis facility, Construction of a new 22-acre Community Park has begun. State mandated water requirements will be achieved with our new Water Recycling Plant, thus avoiding fines and penalties. As promised four years ago the Santa Paula Hospital is open and serves Fillmore, thus saving lives. Today Fillmore has a new Urgent Care facility which serves the city. I am extremely supportive of the Business Park and our existing businesses. Job creation and increased tax revenue will be realized as the Business Park takes life. We need to protect our agricultural land, support our Farmers and preserve our valley. Planning and managing growth are important issues. I believe in minimizing urban sprawl and making better use of available land within our growth boundary and natural barriers. A strong vision of what Fillmore is, and what it can be takes principled leadership. I ask for your vote. Thank you, |
