
Aurora Solorio Hernandez passed away suddenly on April 1st, 2026, surrounded by family. She was born on May 16, 1940, in Guanajuato, Mexico. One of three children to parents Ramon Solorio and Socorro Torres, raised by grandparents Locadio Torres and Vicenta Delgado. Aurora married Antonio Hernandez on December 29, 1958, in La Piedad, Michoacán Mexico and had three children. She came to the U.S. on March 12, 1971.
Aurora was described as responsible, dependable, and a very hard-working woman. She was self-driven, resilient, and taught herself how to drive, read and speak English. After migrating to the U.S. in search of better work opportunities and a prosperous life for her family, she overcame hardships and worked for many years at the Saticoy Lemon Association in Fillmore. She eventually bought her first home in 1975 which allowed her family to lay down roots and enjoy life.
Aurora loved spoiling her grandchildren. She loved spending time outdoors gardening, tending to her rose bushes, bird watching, listening to music, and soaking up the sun. She is survived by her three children: Jesus, Evangelina, and Veronica, eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
