On Sunday, August 16th at 3 PM, the Santa Paula Theater Center will present a concert titled "Meet the Composer", featuring the music of John Biggs. The concert will be informal, with Mr. Biggs speaking directly to the audience about his music. With an international reputation, his music has also been performed locally by the New West, Santa Barbara, Conejo, and Ventura Symphony Orchestras; his choral music by the Ventura County Master Chorale, Santa Barbara Choral Society, Gold Coast Concert Chorus, and at the Ojai Festival; his chamber music at the Ventura Chamber Music Festival. His two operas were premiered by the Ventura College Opera Workshop. Eleven performers will come together for this concert of chamber music, including two premieres.
