“Cinderella” to guest host tea party for Ventura County Ballet Company, April 26

Hosting a magical event for all ages, the Ventura County Ballet Company invites one and all to enjoy a spot of tea with Princess Cinderella from 2-4pm on Sunday April 26 at the historic Elks Lodge in Ventura.

Guests will be entertained with vignettes from the upcoming ballet company presentation of the Cinderella ballet. The menu will feature tea sandwiches, scones, small treats and special tea etiquette with Cinderella.

“We are very excited to present an intimate tea party with Cinderella,” said Kathleen Noblin, executive director of the Ventura Ballet Company. “It is every little girl’s dream to be a princess and this is an enchanting opportunity for families to enjoy together.”

Cinderella, the Ballet; June 6-7

With state-of the art theatrics and video effects and perfection in choreography, the Ventura County Ballet Company will present the timeless tale of Cinderella in a thoroughly modern way June 6 and 7 at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center.

As Cinderella’s choreographer, Rodney Gustafson, former member of the American Ballet Theatre, brings the timeless beauty of this classic ballet into a new era with special effects and digital technology, combining movement, music, lighting, scenery, and acting to provide a tale of passion with a unique twist.

About the Ventura County Ballet Company
Kathleen Noblin, a recipient of the City of Ventura 2008 Mayor’s Arts Award, founded Ballet Ventura in 1992 and has served as executive director of the company since its inception. Ballet Academy Ventura is the official in-residence school of the Ventura County Ballet Company. Students are taught creative movement as early as 2 to 3½ years old and pre-ballet to the age of six, through adult courses. Classes offered include beginning ballet through pre-professional levels, modern dance, flamenco, and jazz.
