Veda departed Wednesday,May 25,2011 at home,at the age of 89. She was born July 20,1921 in Scott County,Arkansas, the first of eight children to John D. and Virginia Belle Alley. She married three times and had six children. Donald, Mary Sue, Johnny, Ronald, Roger, and Patty Sue. Veda was preceded by her husbands,and her son Johnny. Veda is survived by her 5 remaining children, 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren,and 9 great-great grandchildren. In Addition to Homemaker,Veda was a lifetime writer,educator and student of the Baptist Church. Veda held many job titles in the Church. She served God all her life. Veda enjoyed and loved her family and friends. She loved to garden and enjoyed her flowers.Veda will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She lived her last days as she did every day of her life with dignity, respect, courage,hope, love,and in the spirit of God. She will rest in peace in her beloved home town of Waldron, Arkansas.
