Allen Duane Horn (1943-2022)

Allen Duane Horn “Stretch” was born April 9, 1943 in Santa Paula, California. He died February 16, 2022 in Kingwood, Texas surrounded by his family.
After graduating from Fillmore High School in 1961 Allen joined the Army in 1962 and served 4 years. After his service Allen began working in the Oil and Gas Industry where he worked for over 55 years. He made a lot of accomplishments, owned businesses and was known to the Oil field industry as “Stretch.”
He married his wife Sandy of 57 years in 1965 and they began their life and adventures. They lived in Fillmore and Ventura until 1994 when they moved to Texas and continued their endeavors and adventures up to the day of his passing.
His hobbies were coaching, softball, water skiing, camping, fishing, hunting, traveling, tinkering on cars and around the house. He loved going to the beach but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Allen had a way of making people smile and laugh. If you had the privilege of knowing him then you had the privilege of calling him a Husband, Papa, Dad, Grandfather, Great Grandfather Brother, Uncle or friend.
Allen is survived by his wife Sandra Lynn Horn, his son Todd Horn and his wife Lori, his daughter Cheri Horn Harp and her husband Brian. Also by his second daughter Katie Rentfro and her husband Brad. His grandchildren Brittany Harp Hensley and her husband Clyde, Allie Harp Fox and her husband Jeff, Tyler Horn and his wife Brooke and Ashley Horn. He is also survived by his brother Bob Horn and his wife Pat, his sister Sharon Horn Villasenor and her husband David and his brother Steven Horn and his wife Maranda. Surviving also are 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert & Helen Horn and brothers Jim Horn and David Horn.
Burial was on March 18, 2022 at the Veterans Cemetery in Houston, Texas. A
Celebration of Life will be held at Britt Park (Piru Petroleum Club) 3824 Guiberson Road on Saturday, April 30, 2022 beginning at 11:30AM. Lunch will be served.
