Recovery Innovations of California (RICA), a non-profit provider of free mental health recovery classes will have a kickoff event to introduce it’s English and Spanish language Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) classes at the Ventura County Behavioral Clinic located at 333 West Harvard Boulevard in Santa Paula from 2pm to 4pm on March 1, 2010. All are invited to attend this free event. Refreshments will be served.
RICA (pronounced ree-ka) offers an ongoing recovery curriculum at the five Ventura County Behavioral Health (VCBH) clinics in Oxnard, Santa Paula, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks and Ventura. Participants do not have to be receiving services from the five clinics to attend RICA classes. These regular, confidential, peer-led classes are held on multiple days during the week in the morning and afternoon at no charge to individuals. Participants are encouraged to join the WRAP, WELL and Medication for Success classes at any time and to go at their own pace to complete the circuit of classes. Each class runs two hours. Call (805) 981-5439 for more information and class schedules before you attend your first class.
