The revamped Fillmore Senior Center needs some additional furniture to complete their projects. They need a sturdy coffee table that can have castors attached so it can be easily moved. This will be used as a TV stand for the Wii game and bowling league.
The reading room will accept books that interest Seniors. Both fiction and non-fiction are needed and may be left at the Center. You may call Sarah Hansen 524-0132 if you have questions. This room also needs a comfortable reading chair and floor lamp.
A weekly movie will be started early next year if a LARGE screen TV can be secured for the Center. If you are buying a new flat screen as a family Christmas present, consider giving your old one to the Senior Center. You would be able to use this gift as a tax donation.
Anyone who has items may call the Center 524-4533 or Marie Wren 524-4044 to discuss details. Seniors over 55 years of age are encouraged to come and enjoy the new facilities daily. Call the local bus system to arrange for free transportation.
