Another secret meeting set for 10:00am Monday on the same subject. If Mayor Walker is not tring to hide something (like the fact she and the other two violated the Brown Act again as McKee claims) then why not wait for the regular meeting the very next day? maybe because she does not want us to hear her admitting wrong doing.

JW, if the counselors have scheduled a meeting and this meeting is posted in a special place at City Hall, and it is especial to Council Members with the City manager in attendance, and the meeting is to be recorded into business of the City Council, this is not a secret meeting, and it is not a violation of any Act. Oftentimes, City Councils go into pre and post meetings other than normally-scheduled Council meetings, and this is within limits.

IF, say, for instance, a meeting is not scheduled (published), and SOME Council Members are in attendance over the cocktail table in someones living room or family room, and nobody there are taking the minutes of that meeting, and this meeting is clandestine in nature...even if or not, the City Manager is in attendance, then, possibly it can be alleged, the Brown Act could be violated.

But in this one, if you saw the meeting scheduled someplace at 10:00 am Monday...this is not a violated situation.

I was implying that this meeting is set for a time when no one will be watching so that Mayor Walker will not have to admit to the other violations of the Brown Act in front of a camera for all to see. This special meeting is not a Brown Act Violation as you stated just deceptive. The regular meeting (that is on TV)is the very next evening!

Meeting? What meeting? Does anyone know what happened at the special meeting about the Brown Act Violations? Nothing in any paper...looks like Mayor Walker's trick worked. No public report on what happened to the lawsuit.

Johny...there WAS mention in the Gazette and the web concerning this "meeting" and the decisions made on the audit RFP/Brown Act violation results. Right now I cannot recall the exact section, but it could have been within FRONT PAGE, COMMUNITY or EDITORIAL divisions.

The outline emphasized the involvement of City Attorney Schneider. Walker really did not get away with anything, nor did her lapdog constituents. Ms. Quiring was involved in the meeting, I recall, and made a comment to the Gazette referencing the players within. I'll try to research the article.

No the meeting was on 11-09-09 First it was set for 11-05-09. We did not hear anyhing and then another special meeting 11-09-09 and nothing again. Both meetings were to be closed session meetings about the other Brown Act violations re: the lawsuit. The Mayor is required to make a public statement after both of these meetings. Uh oh...I see it now, Johny! I understand what you are saying. I would think if there were news to report on this, the Gazette would have published the results. Understanding your reference now, I did not see any per your statement. Maybe someone can lend a hand on this one. Maybe, too, no determinations have been allowed out to press and media as yet by either the City of Fillmore, CalAware or the Ventura group in charge of this meeting (or whoever it was...maybe a State of CA representation).

At last the Star reported what happened at the special (secret) meeting. See the story in the Star on line. I bet you cannot guess what happened. I was shocked! Mayor Walker say it isn't so!

Yes, Johny Walker...I just went over to take a peek and saw this. But, the City of Fillmore lost $6,000 in fees here, (and it could have developed into a heck of a lot more than just aggravated fines) and seems that Mr. Schneider really went to work on this one. It was Schneider which saved the members of the City Council who were in violation...of which there were REAL violations incurred here, from the gates of hell - of which the triumvirate of the Council members were knocking on!

See, folks, this is a prime example of witless, incompetent, non-caring individuals which are into operating central government process in Fillmore, whom know little or nothing of what they are doing and are advised to do. They don't care at all about involving the auspices and input of Fillmoreites (except for a handful of stupid sideliners). This was depicted in the VCS article. Now, these people must go back to training again, and take a course on the Brown Act. When, just when will the people of Fillmore wake up to what is going on with this WWB trio and associated nincompoops? I've never seen anything like this in my life...disgusting!

I completely missed the article on the 16th of November in the Gazette, Johny. But it is there.
