Overheard in the grocery store line...................

I was behind one of the W's the other day at the grocery store and overheard a conversation .......the one lady was commenting about the possibility of a pandemic this winter and "W" wanted to know if that meant she had to sterilize her pans! Ummmmmmmm, guess which "W" it was?

I just wanted to add that while watching the council the other night on channel 10, when the vote came up to buy the program for Clay "W", I am sure I heard Brooks arm snap it shot up so fast to vote for this for his ole buddy and supporter. No questions asked by Brooks other than "would you like to have this Clay?"........well if you want it, its yours!! At least a couple of other council members paused and asked a couple of questions but not our Jamie! Stand by your friends and to heck with everyone else.

Whatever, you are correct. Brooks asked Clay W if he liked the new technology system and when Clay W gave him the nod, Brooks immediately made a motion to purchase a new Granicus computer system that will cost the city at least $22,000. Problem was Brooks did not even know what was contained in the proposal for the $22,000 and what the city would be getting for its money. Thanks to other members of the council, they slowed Brooks down, asked some questions and asked that the proposal be brought back with more details. Washburn also showed her blind allegiance to Clay W by stating what a great job he did to get past council meetings on the agenda for approval. Problem is the minutes that Clay brought forward were for meetings dating back to May, June and July; over 3-4 months late! This, after Clay W pompously stated to the Council back on January 13, 2009 that one of the grand things he was going to do as City Clerk was to make sure that minutes of a council meeting be available for approval at the very next council meeting to keep the public better informed and to create transparency in government. Well, Clay W has failed miserably in his promise to the council and the citizens; the minutes have been delayed for 3-4 months, yet Washburn chooses to give him praise, rather than read him the riot act for being so incompetent and so delinquent in his City Clerk duties. After all, what the heck else does he have to do but the minutes? I understand most days you can find him in his office with his feet upon a city desk. Maybe the new $22,000 computer system that Jamey is going to buy for him will allow him to do the minutes without removing his feet from the desk! By the way, those minutes that Clay W finally got around to bringing forward after 3-4 months delay were full of typos, mispelled words, incomplete sentences and inaccurate references. Does he know that a housing "tract" is a tract, not a "track"?

Mmmmm, makes one wonder. (Incomplete sentence, sorry 'bout that!).

Maybe it would be good for business to find out the association of who, where, and why, this new computer system was purchased. Although it seems to be viable in theory, I wonder if Fillmore needs it. I think this system proposal was voted on, and if it was, who presented the brief on this system to the Council?

Brooks also annoys me with the arrogant way he pushes the mike to the side after he finishes talking!! Little things like this give me a clue to what his personality is really like. He is at a stand-off with the entire world, especially if whoever he is dealing with hasn't been part of his group who creates the comfort level for him. I say he can in no way stand on his own two feet without the urging of background forces or without the certainty that the "girls" will bail him out if need be. For those of you out there who read this post I suggest you start paying attention and watching the council meetings on channel 10.

The psychological effect of pushing the mike off to the side when a person finishes making comments, as in Brooks' punctuated style, means simply he does not want to discuss the matter in-comment any longer and does not want anyone to ask him questions which he may be forced into answering.

Complete insecurity, boring everyone to utter distraction and currying to only his own kind, and lack of education on the subject with additional lack of intellect is the reason for this! There are words to describe these motions and all, (including being an egotistical introvert) but my explanation will suffice. This man is completely out of his environment, as is the entire WWWB Corporation.

You know, 'Whatever' (eye roll included); if someone in Burbank ever gets a hold of this mess here, they could turn this into one heck of a 3-season comedy for TV. It's no wonder Jay Leno has not caught wind of this mess already and began to make jokes of it. (I really hope not, though).

Actually I met with William H. Macy and his writing partner Steven. They were in the process of selling a concept to a cable channel. They incorporated some very unique personalities, stories and actual events into a intriguing story line. The show was about small town politics, council members and civic leaders. Blend up "The office" with "Northern Exposure" and you'll have an idea of what it maybe like. I've got the script to prove it. After reading the pilot script I'd watch it for sure.
By the way William H. Macy is a down to earth guy. It was a fun meeting.

Steve, if William and Steven came up with the concept, (and I'm not trying to be facetious here, my friend) why don't you be the shows associate producer and contributor? I'm positive you could get hold of a contract (without any probationary period) and continue to supply tons of real-life details about Fillmore's councilmembers and associates of ilk, barrels of unstitchable laughs and brain-teasers to them for their new show scripting! Gee, maybe someone IS monitoring this comedy-act in Fillmore already!

There is a word of caution here, in all of this, and this if anyone on this WWWB escapade or their followers see the show, they most likely will take a real keen interest from the program and seriously try to copy the activities of the town politics on the show, thinking this, in actuality, are how to run their jobs.

Odd I mentioned this!
